The one place I found it difficult to find decent street art was Fiji or at least the towns that I visited. Not to be outdone I did search and did my usual trek through back alleys and lanes and did a fair bit of wandering and discovered the following pieces. I have no way of knowing when or by whom they were painted but I must admit that they all had a naive charm. The first set I found in the city of Lautoka outside the Sugar Mill.
The next pair of images show the results of the labour and the use of the produce from the sugar mill.
But surprisingly the best pieces of art that I found were in my hotel, dotted all around the public areas were some very good pieces of work, again I couldn’t find out who had painted them, the staff didn’t know.
