When I went looking for a street art scene in Sydney one suburb’s name came to the top of every search, Newtown to the West of the CBD a short train ride from my hotel.
I found Newtown to be full of very interesting art from a variety of artists, one of whom, Fintan Magee, who is a favourite of mine and who has a significant piece in Glasgow.

Apparently, since the infamous “I Have a Dream” mural appeared on King Street in 1991 the area has been attracting artists with a message, a selection of the photographs I took of murals by a variety of artists, are shown below.
